Service Description

It is widely known that yoga is good for your mind, body, and soul. During yoga classes, we emphasize movement, focus on your breath and imagery, but yoga as therapy works on specific aspects that could be negatively impacting your life. Yoga as therapy targets all pain and discomfort in all your body, mind and soul. Your instructor, Tahea Mack, has a diploma in not only Yoga, but also in paramedicine and in addictions counseling. Tahea, specializing in addictions counseling, uses trauma informed approaches to all classes and can help people work through physical discomfort, as well as mental and emotional discomfort. Yoga as Therapy will use different approaches in order to help all who attends to heal. We will utilize asana yoga, yoga nidra, check-ins (if you would like to share what's going on in your world, but you will not be required to talk if it doesn't feel right), reiki and sound healing. This class opens the doors into a safe and sacred space for all to join. There will be a lot of emotions in this class and we will ask all, who attends, to respect other peoples privacy in this space. There will be a lot of tissues available to help you shed the burdens weighing on your shoulders. ***** This class is not to replace advice from your doctor.
